OUR LEADERSHIP
Meet Pastor Young
Rev. Young Kang is an ordained Elder in The United Methodist Church. Born in Seoul, Korea, he served as an F-5 fighter pilot and captain in the Republic of Korea Air Force before a transformative encounter with Christ led him to leave his military career and immigrate to the United States in 2010. He holds a B.A. in Philosophy from New Mexico State University and a Master of Divinity from Yale Divinity School.
That journey—from the cockpit to the pulpit, from displacement to calling—shapes everything Pastor Young does at Trinity UMC in Roswell. He preaches with the conviction that the gospel meets people where they are, and he pastors with the steady presence of someone who knows what it means to start over. At Trinity, he is growing a church whose doors are wide open: a youth ministry where young people lead and serve as present participants, drawing members and non-members alike, and a choir-based music ministry where skilled professionals mentor young members in both faith and artistry.
